About Our District

Idanha-Detroit RFPD is a volunteer fire district located along the beautiful Highway 22 in Oregon. Our district serves the communities of Idanha and Detroit, while also protecting a large stretch of Highway 22. Our district strives to be a point of pride for our communities, and we are always looking for new volunteers to bring to our family.

We offer a volunteer stipend program for both in-district (resident) and out-of-district volunteers. For a copy of our volunteer policy, please visit the Apply tab at the top of the page.

Our district currently has two bedrooms available at the Idanha fire station for use by out-of-district volunteers, as well as a full kitchen and shower facilities. We are in the process of updating the Idanha station to include additional bedrooms, a training/community room, and laundry facilities.

Interested in joining our fire district? Fill out a membership inquiry under the Apply tab and one of our staff members will reach out to you with an application. Training and safety gear is provided at no cost to you!
